About Frankfort Independent’s Preschool Program

I am starting a blog about our preschool program as another outlet for communication with parents.  I am starting to get an increase in phone calls inquiring about our preschool program for the next school year 2011-2012!  I have already started a list of potential students for next year.  Please feel free to call me at 875-8661 with any questions you may have about our preschool program.

Here’s a little about our program.  We expanded our program this year to two classrooms with two half day sessions in each room.  The morning session runs from 8am to 11:30am with children receiving breakfast and lunch.  The afternoon session runs from 11:30am to 2:30pm and children receive lunch at this session.  Preschool is in session Monday through Thursday.  Fridays are for home visits, planning and meetings.

We are a public preschool and serve children eligible for free preschool first.  Eligible children qualify with having a developmental delay at age three or four.  Four year olds that qualify for free or reduced lunch are eligible as well.  We now take tuition students in addition to eligible children.  Tuition for preschool only is $40 a week.

We offer wraparound daycare for our three and four year olds enrolled in preschool.  Children in our wraparound program spend part of their day in one of our preschool classrooms and the other part in a daycare setting.  The two rooms are literally right next to each other.  The wraparound program is open from 7am to 5:30am Monday through Friday, including school breaks.  Full time daycare is $120 a week and we do accept Child Care Assistance.

  1. This is a wonderful addition to your website and a great way for me as a parent to look into the day of my preschooler. Thanks

  2. I’m looking forward to this blog. A great idea!
