Dr. Seuss Night-March 2, 2011

Mr. Crowe reading with his iPad.

I hope you were able to come visit us last Wednesday to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday and promote reading!  The students had a fun week of themes each day from crazy socks, pajamas, and hat day.  We had a great turn out on Wednesday evening for the celebration and preschool chose the book, “Green Eggs and Ham.”  I think all the families and preschoolers had fun.  I know that my two kids did.  Mr. Crowe came to Ms. Partlow’s room and read “Green Eggs and Ham” using his iPad.  The students were truly amazed by his high tech book and Mr. Crowe’s story telling talents.  Mrs. Hardin had Dr. Suess activities as well from green play dough, green egg puzzles, and writing letters in green shaving cream.  I think I even saw an actual Cat in the Hat walking around the school!
